Louis Ryan

Louis Ryan is the new CTO at Louis joins Solo from Google, where he was principal engineer and member of technical staff for 16 years. While at Google, Ryan was the co-founder of the Istio project, co-creator of the gRPC standard, and ran API and microservices infrastructure for Google consumer-facing APIs. Ryan will be bringing his experience and leadership in Istio to – accelerating adoption of the industry’s leading service mesh by the largest and most innovative enterprise companies.

James Ilse

James Ilse is a Field Engineer at with more than 20 years of development and infrastructure work behind him. Before joining Solo he worked at hypergrowth companies, scaling their demand from ten requests per second to ten thousand. In the last few years he has been obsessed with all things Kubernetes, especially the natural progression from first few clusters to a full service mesh.

Alex Ly is a Field Engineer at based in San Francisco, CA. Before joining his prior experiences at leading Kubernetes platform companies such as Mesosphere and Red Hat have shaped his career around open source and cloud-native technologies. Creating content, blogs, tutorials, and workshops for others to use and learn from and working with customers to achieve their needs are a few of many passions in his role.
